The global Strategic Solutions Engineering Team of EMC Solutions Group validates the performance/scalability of EMC Proven Solutions across a variety of applications, Databases, BI/DW, virtualisation and vertical/industry solutions. This is a dynamic team that simulates real world deployments and analyses results of integrated solutions. Program Managers in this area will work directly with various engineering teams, global engineering managers, and practice leads to define requirements and project plans to drive the delivery of Proven Solutions which can provide EMC with competitive advantages and support the overall go-to-market/quality of new solutions. This position is located in EMC China Center of Excellence in Shanghai while provides opportunities to collaborate with the global team in US and Ireland.



PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

?The Program Manager manages and leads cross-functional team(s) and technical subject matter experts in the development, planning, and implementation of Proven Solutions projects and/or programs.
?Identifies priorities and resources relative to each project or program. Ensures project and/or program deliverables are met on time and within budget as required.
?Plans and implements project schedules and monitors program constituent projects from inception through delivery
?Effective identification and management of Program and Project Risks
?Organizes and manages cross-functional problem resolution efforts as required.
?Defines and reports project/program roadmap, status, development issues and success metrics to project stakeholders. Develops tools and analytics to support project/program success factors.
?May engage and oversee the work of external vendors.
?Maintains awareness of trends, business conditions and internal process and practices impacting project/program(s). Identifies areas of risk/opportunities and influences and implements continuous improvements.
?Develops communications and presentations and ensures communication of project/program initiatives, messages and status to appropriate parties. Makes recommendations to senior management as necessary. Manages communication and coordination of cross functional teams across multiple areas and with third party partners. Prepares documentation and other communications as required.

Education Required:

?Bachelors (Non-Tech/Tech) or equiv, Formal Project Management Certification an advantage. (PMP and/or Prince 2)

?3-5 Years PM experience of IT/Infrastructure Build projects a distinct benefit
