JOB DESCRIPTION

Job title: Program Manager

Reports to: Director Program Management, China

Subordinate: 0

Working location: Shanghai

Responsibilities:

1. Work in Adient China PMO, ensure Adient program management process and tools are appropriately executed in JVs.
2. Coaching and supporting JV PMs in Successful management of new product development and launch programs; meet all internal and customer targets and objectives.
3. Using all Adient standard processes in managing and leading the SDTs; helping JVs to ensuring appropriate resources are available on time.
4. Interfacing with all levels of Management on all aspects of Planning, Scheduling, Organizing, Directing and Controlling the JV’s Programs.
5. Conduct and teaching in PMUs; PLUS Change roll out in JVs; Conduct and support all PMO activities.
6. Champions, and follows all Adient systems including BOS, PLUS, POS, all elements of MOS, CM, PSO, and SOW, etc.
7. Establishes internal and external targets, objectives, and deliverables by working with Management, Customers, and SDT of his program.
8. Following the industry best practice, including all PMBOK knowledge areas, to ensure World Class Project Management.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor degree in Accounting, Engineering, and Manufacturing, Quality, Business Management or equivalent, holding a MBA is preferred.
2. 10 years’ experience in Automotive Manufacturing, Engineering and Project Management.
3. Program Management Institute (PMI) Certification and successful management of new product development launch programs is desired.
4. PMP certification within one year after beginning in this position.
5. Background in Purchasing, Cost Estimating, Quality, and Material Control is desirable.
6. Demonstrated ability in manufacturing, purchasing, engineering, and quality, finance, and materials, etc.
7. Strong team building, communication, conflict resolution, and business leadership skills, customer management and negotiations skills.
8. Fluent in both Mandarin and English.
