Main Purpose of Job:

To assist Sr. Materials Manager to manage the Purchasing organization to support production with good materials supply. And control the inventory.

Main Responsibility:

1. Get the proper materials supply to ensure production lines running smoothly against MPS and MRP, then ensure the on time delivery(OTD) to customers
2. Monitor the order release process through MRP. Reduce material liability for company, by controlling order release (including MPQ/MOQ control).
3. Assist Purchasing Mgr to work out the inventory control plan and take the effective actions to control the inventory at the targeted level.
4. Support the staff to follow up the supplier delivery for the gating shortage items.
5. Work with Sourcing to set-up buffer stocks at key suppliers (through Supplier Purchase Agreements), and to set-up Pull-based replenishment / Kanban.
6. Work with PM team for the NPI requirement.
7. Assist Quality department to fix the supplier quality issue, and support the ISO procedure maintain and auditing.
8. Promote the continuous improvement of materials management systems.
9. Optimize the purchase procedure and other related procedures, in order to prevent from any mistake and improve the working efficiency.
10. Timely workload review and works re-allocation for the staff, in order to ensure all of staff with the reasonable workload
11. Assist Mgr to define staff goals (KPI) & motivate staff to ensure goals are achieved
12. Identify and implement professional training requirements.
13. Other duties required by the department header
14. Organize all the members to identify the dangerous fountainhead.
15. Ensure all the employees work in a safety and health environment, decrease the industrial injury


Required Qualifications:

1. BS degree
2. At least 5 years in Purchasing/Supply Chain Management experience in a progressive foreign manufacturing environment, EMS filed preferred.
3. Experience in implementing demand pull systems or Kanban systems
4. Excellent people management and Leadership skill. Be able to lead the team setting aggressive goals and expectations, while motivating them effectively in achieving these goals.
5. Good knowledge in the MRP/ERP system
6. Excellent communication skills, negotiating skills
7. Fluent oral and excellent written English communication skills.
8. Fluency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
