SUMMARY

Japanese speaking Technical Service Representatives provide molecular biology protocol support to Japanese customers via e-mail and telephones. This is an entry-level Technical Service position; training and career development will be provided.

 

Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

 

Assist Japanese customers in choosing appropriate reagents and optimizing protocols.

 

Works with Japanese distributors on product selection and technical troubleshooting to ensure Japanese customers’ satisfaction.

 

Translating marketing materials and other texts to Japanese.

 

Demonstrates confidence and poise when dealing with customers, peers, and managers. Works effectively as a team player, supporting and cross-training other staff members to ensure the highest levels of customer support. May assist in training other staff members.

 

Candidate must have a scientific background with a Bachelor's Degree in biology or a related life science discipline. Prior technical service and/or lab experience preferred, but not required. Excellent communication and customer service skills are a must. Bilingual in Japanese (written and verbal) is a must.
