This position will provide strong regional and global strategic leadership for the sourcing of goods and services for Westinghouse and its subsidiaries in Asia. Drive change within the Asia supply chain organization to implement new processes in supply and demand planning/management, and strategic sourcing and supplier quality. Responsible for developing, documenting, and executing a comprehensive Asia supply chain strategic plan which will drive optimal customer service and profitability. Ensure all regulatory and compliance measures are met within global guidelines. Support, identify and implement best in class supply chain technology, infrastructure suitable to the scope and size of the business along with disciplines that underlie a supply chain operation. Develop a strategic make/buy decision process across Asia. It will be critical for this position to collaborate with peers in the Americas and EMEA for implementation of supply chain best practices, such as systems integration and optimization, to ensure best practices are embedded in Asia operations. Drive operational excellence and best practices across Asia.
Finally, development of the team is a major responsibility, providing training, direction and coaching to improve performance and expanding competencies.
Responsible for all aspects of the Asia strategic supply chain including strategic sourcing of equipment, oversight of technical and QA requirements, services and category management. Initial focus will be in China.
Provide strategic leadership to develop and deliver global and regional sourcing plans utilizing consistent processes and cross-functional sourcing teams and meet or exceed Westinghouse requirements. Collaborate with peers to develop global supply councils to support this initiative.
Influence sourcing teams in identifying, communicating and implementing sourcing strategies to achieve cost savings.
Plan and implement activities related to the timely, cost-effective procurement, planning and quality control of production materials.
Establish successful relationships with suppliers through the supplier management conduit on a country, regional or global basis to ensure the availability of materials in the supply chain, as scheduled.
Responsible for assuring sourcing and supplying of raw materials, utilities and outside services, as well as coordinating global procurement efforts for Asia, are supportive of the operations’ growth strategies.
Work with the global supplier management team on sourcing strategies, including supplier selection, risk analysis, second sourcing opportunities and capacity management.
Regularly interact with executives and customers. Interactions normally will involve influencing and/or persuading customers and negotiations.
Responsible for the successful operation of activities of major significance to the organization. Identify and implement best practices to ensure quality and continuous improvement.
Ensures that overall budgets, schedules and performance standards are realistically set and attained. Manage the GSCS budget for Asia.
Responsible for development of local suppliers in China who can provide low cost, high quality products and services with China and for export from China, while ensuring compliance with all import/export practices and laws.
Monitor and ensure departmental and facility performance metrics are met in a timely and cost effective manner.
Maintain global marketplace intelligence regarding suppliers’ economic visibility, financial strength and technical knowledge.
Identify high performing employees, provide coaching and training while developing plans to assist remainder of the team to improve performance. 举报 分享
