JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
 
? Facilitate first article inspection process in support of supplier qualification, product transition, new product development and supplier problem resolution
? Create qualification plans to facilitate supplier transitions and assure purchased product meets business unit expectations
? Initiate supplier Corrective Action Requests (CAR), facilitate problem resolution and verify effectiveness
? Supply Management liaison between Design Engineering, Value Streams and suppliers
? Support Supply Management strategies to achieve year over year material cost productivity improvement goals
? Participate in new product development and value engineering analysis, by providing technical support, supplier interface and facilitate First Article and Production Part Approval Process
? Facilitate Global Supplier Development by implementing common tools to measure and improve supplier performance
? Contribute to year-over-year Purchased Finished Goods (Pentair branded products) customer claims reduction
? Conduct supplier assessments in support of supplier selection and development opportunities for Purchased Finished Goods and Direct Material sourcing
? Supplier Development representative responsible for supporting global sourcing initiatives including supplier assessments, supplier transition and product qualification
? Lead supplier performance improvement initiatives, conduct supplier performance reviews, administer supplier scorecards and participate in supplier business reviews
? Assure compliance of Hoffman’s ISO 9001: 2008 certified Quality Management System as it pertains to Supply Management
 
JOB CRITERIA:
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
? Bachelor of Science degree preferably in Industrial Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Industrial Engineering
? A minimum of seven years of strong experience as a Supply Management Engineer or Supply Quality Engineer in support of a Supply Management or commodity management organization
? Materials Engineering experience with knowledge and confidence to recommend and resolve materials issues for applications in metal fabrication, die casting, injection molding, composites and metal stampings
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
? Practical knowledge of metal finishing processes specifically for zinc plating, electroless nickel, anodizing, chromate conversion coatings and powder paint application
? Sound knowledge of measurement equipment and measurement methodologies with the confidence to provide guidance for use
? Working knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing
? Strong supplier development experience with proven ability to drive supplier performance improvement
? Experienced in implementation and facilitation of Supplier Development and Supply Quality methodologies in Best Cost Countries
? Demonstrated experience conducting failure analysis, with proven ability to document detailed findings and make recommendations written and verbally
? Practical experience in leading and conducting FMEA’s
? Experience conducting capability studies and use of statistical process control
? Experience leading supplier lean initiatives / kaizen events
? Skilled at effective communication at both technical and leadership levels
? Skilled in developing and delivering effective presentations
? Skill with resolving conflict including the ability to address difference of opinions or facts and use the most appropriate method to reach an effective solution
? Ability to use personal computers and enterprise software as well as evaluate, recommend, and use group specific software tools
? Ability to build and maintain effective work relationships, and establish credibility with both suppliers and customers
? Self starter with ability to plan, organize, and prioritize time/workload and delegate work in order to accomplish tasks and meet deadlines 举报 分享
