This is a 1-year Temp Contract position.

Reports to:
? Senior Merchandiser Label and Graphics

Other stakeholders:
? Internal: Business, Quality, Shipping, Global Label Department and other Production teams
? External: H&M Suppliers

Accountability
The Label R&D Textile/Paper/Plastic is accountable to:
? Secure that label capacity in is accordance with current and future business challenges
? Secure that label quality complies with H&M’s requirements
? Secure the best deal for labels/ graphics items
? Secure on time delivery of the label/graphical material to secure garment Time of Delivery (TOD)

Main Responsibilities
? Secure a sustainable capacity base with existing and new suppliers
? Secure the best product cost through negotiation and open costing for Labels / Graphics items
? Follow up on production and delivery
? Develop products according to the information from the Global Label Department with most suitable supplier
? Keep development on every stage as short as possible
? Secure H&M’s quality requirements
? Secure a level of awareness among the suppliers about H&M’s chemical and physical requirements and restrictions
? Periodically evaluate and educate new suppliers
? Develop suppliers as per H&M’s current and potential requirements
? Conduct tests on materials during the development stage and on a random basis, on the finished products
? Conduct factory visits on running base
? Keep up to date on material prices in the market
? Establish a competitive market atmosphere for all the products by engaging at least two suppliers for each product

Education and Experience requirements
? University graduate. Degree in Textiles/Paper/Plastic will be an advantage
? At least 2-3 years of experience in a similar capacity

Knowledge and Skills requirements
? Knowledge about the labels/graphical items, processes, materials and development steps
? Knowledge of the label/graphical printing industry
? Experience in handling woven & printed products
? Strong follow-up skills
? Good communication skills
? Fluency in written & spoken English
