Goals/Mission:
- Leading, guiding and driving of the Siemens Production System implementation and lean manufacturing concepts in factory / factory segment level. The goal is ensure long term success of the business unit(s) by executing productivity and quality improvements initiatives.
Working Partners/Contacts:
External:
- Expert consultants, suppliers, customers, best practice partner
Internal:
- Production and General Factory Management. Supply Chain Management related Functions / Departments across all level as well as interfaces to Product Life Cycle Management (Product Management & Engineering) and Customer Relationship Management (Sales & Marketing, Demand Management) Functions in the organization.
Tasks:
- Drive and support all lean activities in the defined areas of responsibility, so that continuous improvement of production and overall organizational processes is realized.
- Analyze processes / disruptions within area of responsibility. Identify weak points, develop solutions and support related implementation, with the aim to improve overall company / production performance.
- Definition of comprehensive standards, description of methods and development of documentation (including processes, work place development, tools and methods) so that knowledge is shared and conformance to standards can be verified on a team and department level.
- Preparation, distribution and training of the subject and method knowledge in consultation discussions, meetings, workshops, etc., to support organizational learning and to ensure that independent improvement activities are initiated.
- Moderation of meetings, workshops and coaching of the overall change processes as well as selected activities within the area of responsibility so that the successful implementation of lean thinking is assured.
- Evaluation of costs / benefits of the lean projects and controlling of measure implementation.
Education:
- Master in Industrial Engineering or similar / comparable educational background
