Our China team is managed by our General Manager (China) and currently supported by two QC staff. We are seeking an experienced Supply Chain/Project Manager to support the General Manager and perform the following tasks.
Job description
1.Take responsibility for all orders placed with our factories to ensure that they are delivered ON TIME, IN FULL and IN SPECIFICATION.
2.Maintain close communication with the staff in NZ office. Replying to all email queries and follow up.
3.Read and understand the brief from NZ Product Manager and Purchasing Staff to ensure that our product requirements are understood and confirmed with the factory.
4.Follow the production plan to ensure that samples, approvals, and production time lines are met.
5.Receive sample feedback from purchasing team and initiate any changes and/or approval comments with the factory.
6.Maintain close relationships with factory staff, and be pro-active in looking for potential problems in the production schedule.
7.Oversee the quality assurance processes with the QC staff.
8.Check Purchase Orders, pricing, quantity and all other details. Report back to NZ office with any queries or problems.
9.Source and check samples for new products
10.Maintain accurate sample records.
11.Follow up with some customers in China and Asia as directed.
12.Follow the company guidelines for ethical sourcing, compliance and brand integrity.
13.Assistant to GM China as required.
14.Check all invoices, packing lists and shipping documents to ensure they are correct and send to NZ office within required time line.
Skills, Experience and Attributes required.
1.Experience working for an export based foreign company (or trading company) in a similar role.
2.Excellent English & Chinese Mandarin language skills, both written and verbal.
3.Understanding of the manufacturing/factory environment in China and ability to work with all levels of factory staff (GM, Production Manager, QC, finance staff etc).
4.Strong understanding of logistics, shipping, sourcing.
5.Strong planning, analytical and problem solving skills.
6.A desire to achieve excellent results, be flexible and service our customers.
7.High attention to detail, honest and open minded.
