Responsibility for team objectives
- Planning, optimization and control of the result from materials & services to increase the profitability in the area of responsibility.

Early Involvement
- Early integration in all procurement-related procedures and tasks within the plant to be a competent partner for all internal customers and to integrate supplier's and procurements standpoint to assure identifying cost saving opportunities and efficient cooperation.

Supplier management
- Sourcing, supplier selection, evaluation & development of suppliers on the basis of cross-functional teams to ensure that demand is met to the highest possible degree and to implement joint cost objectives from the outset.
- Participate in interdisciplinary working group/project work to share best practice, influence and optimize internal processes and procedures.

Local procurement strategies and Synegies in operational companies (SSLS, SMVS)
- Deriving the local purchasing strategy for MV China in alignment with the overall LMV strategy.
- Implementing and continuous update of strategy to secure local and global business objectives.

Planning and Controlling
- Derivation of team/individual objectives (budget, target/actual) from Group and Business objectives under the anticipated market situations to measure, report, control, and (where necessary) to give coaching in the overall result

Organizational, procedural and process responsibility
- Adaptation and implementation of efficient forms of organization and procedures & processes.
- Continuous improvement and supervision of processes to ensure rationalization potential, to optimize productivity, and to meet safety requirements

Human Resources management
- Management and development of employees in the area of responsibility to ensure team success with motivated staff.

Employee support
- Implementing the strategy together with employees and follow up on working level.
- Gradually increase of responsibility and competence of employees via active coaching and mentoring to ensure long term success.
