职位描述
- Manage a group of R&D and design engineers in developing state of art products and solutions in the area of power electronics, power system control and SCADA/DMS/EMS for smart grids/micro grids
- Supplier and partner development for collaborative product development
- Manage product level and department level budgets
- Participate in strategy development
- Work closely with PLM, pre sales and system integration teams in developing and implementing go to market strategies
- Development and upkeep of of related documentation
- Technology watch - global and local trends
- Organizational and people development
Duties and tasks:
Product development
- Conceptual design of products and solutions
- Create and manage development roadmap
- Decide on overall architecture / SW platforms / functionalities /mathematical models
- Oversee detailed design of HW and SW
- Planning,assignment and supervision of tasks amongst development teams
- Project management of development activities including associated cost and schedule control
- Preparation of technical and operating manuals
- Organize field testing and obtain necessary approvals and certifications
- Support strategic partnership/collaborations decisions
- Provide support to customers
Technology watch
- Stay up-to-date on technological trends (Architecture, functionalities, SW platforms, competitor activities etc)
- Keep fully informed on competitor activities and communicate with other stakeholders
- Adapt designs and solutions based on market needs and price levels
Collaboration, resources and tools
Work closely with pre-sales in ascertaining customer/market needs
- Collaborate with business development and marketing groups for product launches and market development activities
- Provide support to system integration and engineering teams in successful delivery of the project
- Collaborate with company's other resources for successful product development
- Adopt use of in-house R&D practices and IT supporting tools
- Conduct after sales follow through sales teams up to get customer feedback
Educational qualifications:
- Masters or Doctorate degree in electrical or control engineering preferably with specialization in network automation/SCADA systems
Experience and Technical Skills
- Over 10 years of experience in design and development of power electronics, power system control and SCADA systems in the area of automation/control to Industry/power sector
- Over 5 years in R&D leadership function in creating new products, solutions, development roadmap, R&D budgets and timeline
- Minimum 3 years in multinational environment /multicultural teams
- Extensive experience on latest SW platforms and architectures
- Sound knowledge/experience in operating systems, databases and programming languages line C++/Java
- Experience in Power electronics, PLC programming, HMI design, visual basic programming, and web site/database design.
- Demonstrated success in creating own designs / concepts from scratch
