Goals/Mission:
Effectively and efficiently implement the regional sourcing derived from the Global Commodity Strategy to achieve best contribution to the regions' net income. The Regional Commodity Manager APAC drives the commodity team to allow best-in-class purchasing of direct materials in his area of responsibility, establishing optimal conditions with an excellent supplier base of qualified a contracted suppliers.

Working Partners/Contacts
Internal: Strategic Procurement, esp. Global and Regional Commodity Manager, Supply Management, Engineer, Supplier Quality, Legal department, corporate departments and Energy Level (CSCM etc.), SCM BA and procurement controlling.
External: Existing and potential Suppliers/Market Analysts Consultants, competitors.

Tasks:
- Ensure the qualified suppliers are contracted to satisfy the forecasted demands of all components within the area of responsibilities to all production sites in APAC according the Commodity's strategy; all suppliers must have "Ready for business" status in click4suppliers(c4s)
- Perform awarding of purchases to the most suitable suppliers in agreement with the commodity team (according to global/regional scope of supply).All awarding to be in accordance with" correct purchasing" directive.
- Participate in and contribute to the Global Commodity Team Meetings on a monthly basis, esp. with detailed analysis and ongoing updates on the regional supply market, opportunities and threats as well as reporting on suppliers' performances and planning of qualifications Approve or object where necessary.
- Lead cross-functional Regional Commodity Team with Engineering, Supplier Quality and Supply Management to achieve optimum results with regards to purchasing through collaborative, targeted activities. Conduct bi-weekly team meetings.
-Conduct annual price a contract negotiations with contract conclusion to guarantee security of suppliers at best conditions. Define concepts for risk and contract management to minimize risk and warranty costs through products life cycle. Define and implement advanced negotiation concepts and strategies.
-In case that Non Conformacies caused by the suppliers within area of responsibility result in damages to Siemens, manage and negotiate such claims to minimize Siemens' exposure to such non conformancy.
-For components with a defined Localization Strategy in the APAC region, drive localization initiatives in the regional commodity team according to the agreed timeline (in strategy) and the targeted savings. In case supplier strategy is to supply is for NON-APAC regions, support Global Commodity Manager and other regions in negotiations, following up etc.
-Maintain intensive regular contacts with internal/external interface partners to drive formal supplier evaluation (in click4supplier), increase market intelligence, take proactive measures to develop existing and new suppliers and optimize internal process, interfaces and workflows.

Education:
Bachelor or above

Knowledge/Languages:
