Major Accountabilities

New Product Development
· Lead and coordinate consumable product development for China made welding consumables following product development procedure – Including market survey, product definition, prototype & alpha & Beta development stage and final product launch
· Lead the consumable product cross-functional team and circulate meeting minutes to team members and management
Mature Product Management
· Monitor and report on warranty performance of local products. Report on unusual or high warranty rates and initiate corrective actions.
· Attend sales meetings to maintain inter department communication on consumable sales and product performance
· Provide recommendations to management on future products, changes to current products, and product obsolescence. Support the recommendations with sales data and forecasts, customer feedback, and competitor information developed from appropriate market research
Marketing Intelligence
· Develop and maintain market share matrix/analysis for all welding consumable category and sub-category
· Market trends and demands analysis for high potential industry segments
· Find the gap between existing product offering and high potential business opportunity
· Identify the opportunity by welding application & industry segment & market segment to achieve company long term aim and vision
· Maintain a database on welding consumable competitors in China. Report significant events and changes to management
· Be aware of all welding industry related promotional events and exhibitions in China, and make recommendations to management on Lincoln's participation
· Visit end users and distributors from time to time to verify the product performance, market price and get to learn market trends
Sales Training
· Sales training for consumables products for end users, distributors and sales force
· Work with the Weld Technology Centre Manager and HR to ensure that the sales team and end users are provided sufficient applications advice, support, and training
Marketing Communication Related
· Coordinate with marketing communications personnel on development of literature, catalogs, packaging design and sales tools. Ensuring that these are available to meet sales department and customer needs.
· Identify the products and application for welding trade show and support on preparation

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree, major in science & engineering
At least 3 years experience in product management in industry
Fluent English and Mandarin Chinese
Computer skills : Microsoft office
