Joining a World Class team of Control and Electronics engineers working on Hardware, Software and Controls solutions in Automotive Hybridization applications. The hybrid calibration engineer in this position will be responsible for the calibration of our hybrid projects meeting project targets regarding fuel economy, emissions and drivability. With the current Chinese market strategy, focus is mainly on mild hybrids (P0) and PHEV’s (P0+P4, P2).

Key Responsibilities
? Specification and development of advanced hybrid control systems with a clear focus on calibration and detailed feedback to the application team
? Focussing on hybrid system level requirements, configuration, calibration and validation
? Function as an expert regarding interfacing between HCU, ECM (UAES/Bosch, Delphi), TCM, ABS, ESC, etc.
? Is key in building a good relationship with the customer by being flexible, pro-active and high communicative whit the customer.
Everyday tasks will include:
? Hybrid control system function validation and calibration
? Hybrid control system requirements capture and management
? Cold Environment Test, Hot Environment Test, High altitude test on-site support
? Engine dyno testing, vehicle dyno testing on-site support
? Responsible for correct execution of legislative tests like NEDC, WLTC, etc.
? Customer interfacing for technical elements of projects
? Support development of opportunities through client interaction and proposal generation

PERSONAL SPECIFICATION

Skills
? Experience of hybrid control system requirements capture
? At least 2+ years HCU development, calibration and validation experience for hybrid systems
? Good knowledge of the overall powertrain torque structure (driver demand to wheel torque)
? Good knowledge of test-bed and vehicle calibration development to meet customer targets
? Experienced with Engine/Hybrid management systems (ECM/HCU)
? Experienced in use of real-time calibration tools (ETAS INCA, Vector CANape)
? Experienced with vehicle based communication protocols and tools (ETAS CANalyzer)
? Experienced with data analyses to optimize project targets and find project issues using data analyzing tools (ETAS MDA, Vector CANape)
? Experienced in executing NEDC/WLTC test on a vehicle dyno
? Proficient in English and Mandarin languages (written and spoken) for project and technical communication

Knowledge
? Qualified to degree level with technical background in hybrid systems design and development
? Good knowledge of rapid prototyping control systems
? Detailed understanding of the overall vehicle powertrain system
? Experience with ETAS INCA/MDA, Vector CANape/CANalyzer
? Experience with Mathworks Matlab/Simulink/Stateflow. Reading application models is a minimum, being able to develop them a plus
? Literate in IT systems (MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
? Strong knowledge of system level safety requirements and related standards (including ISO 26262) beneficial
