Position: Associate Legal Counsel

Reports to: Legal Counsel

Location: Shanghai, China



General Responsibilities

-This role serves as the in-house Associate Legal Counsel to the company, providing advice and guidance on a wide range of legal issues which arise from the day-to-day operations of a growing, challenging and regulated organization.



Specific Responsibilities

-Advising on a wide variety of commercial matters including supply, marketing, labour, manufacturing, sales and advertisement related issues and regulatory matters.

-Establishing a strong interaction with all levels of the sales, finance, logistics and human resources organization.

-Assisting contacts with governmental and other regulatory agencies; dealing with all other domestic (Chinese) regulatory issues including tax matters.

-Reviewing, negotiating and drafting all types of commercial agreements including in particular foundry, license, purchase and design agreements.

-Supporting US and Chinese export control compliance issues.

-Developing and maintaining Legal Department filing and record system; general administrative and secretarial support.




Education and Skills

-Bachelor degree and major in law.

-Two to three years working experience in a multinational company or an international law firm.

-Fluent in English (speaking, reading and writing).

-Strong interpersonal skills.

-Experience in the semiconductor industry is a plus.
