Main Responsibilities:
1.Ensures culture of “Customer - Cost - Competence” is fully embraced by own and interface functions
2.Is personally responsible for a regular technical exchange with A and key customers in all Industrial applications. Initiates the development of technical solutions for such customers and ensures that learning’s are shared in a compliant manner
3.Works together with sales to penetrate the industrial markets, responsible for the trial initialisation and follow up the qualification process.
4.Ensures that the implications of customer industry trends for potential sales of BU GMS are fully understood and derives and recommends measures to ensure future competitiveness
5.Understands value-add of SGL’s products from customers perspective and ensures this is reflected in commercial negotiations and understood by sales team
6.Executes product/application related strategies in cooperation with Product Groups and Regional Sales
7.Monthly reporting of technical highlights/lowlights; technical market trends and project progress, alternatively can report via potentially project management tools
8.Ensures that technical clarification work required in the inquiry to order process is provided in the most efficient and pragmatic way that optimizes the BU's relevant hit rate increases the application knowledge and ensures customer satisfaction.
9.Supports / participates in marketing activities like trade fairs, product brochures, conferences
Main Requirements:
1.Technical educational background
2.Minimum of 4 years professional experience in technical sales environment of which min. 2 years
- in an international industrial environment
- in a complex business environment
- in a graphite company or relevant industrial application
3.Solid understanding of products, processes and overall value chains
4.Good communication skills
5.Vast project management experience
6.Entrepreneurial spirit, commercial mindset
7.Well structured working style
8.Fluent in written and spoken English
9.Conflict management as plus
10.Travel frequency is about 40%
