Position: Head of Sales China, Cosmetics
Division/BU: Performance Material Division, Pigments & Functional Materials
Location: Shanghai, China
Reporting to: Sales Director, Functional Materials, Asia
Job Description:
Purpose of the role:
- Lead the China sales team towards high performance
- Develop and drive the China business
- Achieve and exceed the annual sales objectives
- Develop and implement an enhanced dealer strategy
- Drive new and additional business/revenues through targeted effort
- Work closely with market development and implement the global/regional marketing strategy
Strategy
· Develop an annual sales plan that is fully in line with global and regional strategy and capable of translate it into detailed tactics and actions.
· Develop customer-specific sales plans; align with market development and other relevant sales support organizations to ensure effective implementation.
Customers
· Perform customer visits to drive current and future sales results, deal with potential issues
· Identify new “product of interest” for customers based on the VOC.
· Represent the company in a professional way towards the customers by offering world-class service
Channels
- Manage the performance of the existing dealers
- Optimize the balance between direct sales and dealer-generated business
- Review and optimize the dealer landscape
Candidate Profile
· Education:
1. University degree; graduated in Science (chemistry) or Business
2. International study background is a plus
· Work Experience:
- At least 5-10 years of sales, business development or strategic sourcing experience in relevant industries such as the chemical industry or the pharma industry with a proven track record of commercial success
- Candidates with personal care industry experience have a strong plus
- Expertise regarding successfully rolling out global/regional concepts and business models
· Job specific Competencies & Skills
1. Very proactive working attitude, highly motivated and willing to learn
2. Strategic thinker meanwhile having a creative and "thinking out of box" mindset
3. Strong customer orientation
4. Good analytical skills and presentation skills
5. Strong at communication and cross functional collaboration, good interpersonal skills
6. Proficiency in Mandarin, and excellent in English
7. Domestic and international travel at 20-30%
