GENERAL SUMMARY

Manages multiple highly complex HW Engineering programs, projects and initiatives affecting area goals and objectives. Drives the creation and management of cross-functional leadership teams located both in China and in the US. Oversees multiple cross-functional teams, defining priorities and insuring allocation of resources. Maintains an awareness of industry trends and business conditions. Has a working knowledge of internal processes and practices to ensure the success of complex programs and initiatives.
 
  PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

? Oversees multiple cross-functional leadership teams, inclusive of EMC''s core business units, software divisions and / or Joint Development Manufacturing (JDM) partners. Develops, defines and manages execution of critical program elements. Leads cross-functional priority setting and resource allocation relative to each program, project and/or initiative. Ensures issues are identified and resolved. Drives multiple JDM partners on program deliverable.
? Develops and maintains HW Engineering project plans and schedules for multiple highly complex technical programs that include diverse practices, services and/or initiatives. Facilitates, coordinates and leads cross-functional teams to complete project tasks and milestones per the project schedules. Ensures completion of all specific deliverables and tactical initiatives required to support projects and initiatives. May facilitate partner alignment and maintain multiple partner relationships with cross-functional EMC groups and / or 3rd party partners to ensure successful completion of program deliverables.
? Communicates multiple program initiatives, messaging, and status across EMC''s core business units, software divisions and/or third party partners. Develops and manages communication and coordination of cross functional teams across all areas. Tracks and reports program status, development issues and success metrics and ensures effective reporting and communication. Drives resolution of program related issues.
? Influences and manages continuous improvement of platform/solution development lifecycle process, practices and initiatives.
? Performs other duties as required.
