Licensing Specialist (Contractor)
About the role

Job Purpose
We have an immediate opening for a DesignStart Licensing (DSL) Specialist who will work closely with various internal (including Sales, Licensing, Marketing, Legal, Operations, IT, and Engineering) and external stakeholders (Customers and Foundries). The selected candidate will be responsible for and supporting overall DesignStart Licensing and Compliance Operations.

What skills, experience and qualifications do I need?
? Support Customers by enabling requested licensed IP for download via the DesignStart portal, and provide ongoing customer support, including customer inquiries, account consolidation, follow-up on suspended accounts, etc.
? Ensure customer Usage Reports and Confirmations are received timely and perform follow-up as needed
? Understand the commercial terms of IP Licensing agreements
? Build and maintain world class relationships with internal stakeholders, licensees, as well as third party Foundry Partners and Customers
? Leverage technology to aggregate information and to rapidly identify exceptions, as well as improve information quality and efficiency
? Support other projects as needed

Essential Skills & Experience
? BA or BS in Finance or Accounting (or equivalent) and a minimum three years of experience in IP license compliance, auditing, accounting, or finance.
? Highly motivated and proactive, with strong organizational and project management skills to multitask and manage workload to timely completion
? Strong verbal and written communications and the ability to communicate with all organizational levels, including executives
? Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across different functions
? Ability to maintain high levels of confidentiality and data security standards
? Detail oriented with strong analytics skills
? Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office tools
? Essential that the candidate is a team-player

Desirable Skills & Experience
? The ideal candidate will have experience performing license or royalty compliance analysis at either a nationally-recognized accounting firm or a top tier software or hardware company and Licensor (Rights Owner)
? Working knowledge and understanding of the semiconductor/IP industry and compliance methodologies is considered a significant advantage
