Key accountabilities and measures
? Factory quality audits
? Product Safety
? Pre-production Meeting
? Pilot run review / Inline inspection
? New Supplier Induction and system training for suppliers
? Upgrading of Suppliers Performance – monitor progress on improvements & data base mainte***ce
? Issue management
? Supply Base Management
? Support Innovation Development
? Conduct assignments at the discretion of the QMS Manager
Key skills
? Technical qualification in hard goods, preferably to a degree level
? At least 5 years working experience in a related field for the UK / European market.
? Knowledge of homeware such as candles/ fragrance, metalware, glass/ ceramic and Footwear
? Familiar with the UK Retail industry and/or European garment buying processes
? Computer Skills – Familiar with MS Office and internet is required
? Ability to build strong relationships with buyers and technologists in the UK and suppliers in country
? Excellent communication skills in English are required, and Good level of both written & spoken Putonghua
considered advantageous
? Experience in factory would be an advantage
? Regular travels to factory is required
? An audit qualification (ISO 9000 / SA8000 / ISO 14000) would be a definite advantage
