The IT Technical Support Engineer will be mainly responsible for the smooth running of computer systems and ensuring that users get the maximum benefits from the systems. S/He should be able to install and configure computer systems, diagnose hardware and software faults, solve technical and applications problems, either on-site or off-site.
For this position, you are required to provide IT supports to end-user on daily basis, co-ordinate with third party or inter-company division to arrange, facilities and execute both hardware and software installation, troubleshooting and maintenance.
Periodically perform system maintenance and health check. Assist any ad-hoc IT projects as assigned by IT Manager.
Primary focus
? Provide IT field application support to all end-users under different operation systems, including both Apple Macintosh (Mac) & Windows platforms, CCTV, alarm system and production software’s, etc. on daily basis
? Ensure network configuration is working properly
? Install and configure computer hardware operating systems and applications
? Manage Helpdesk tickets and requests
? Monitor and maintain computer systems and networks
? Communicate with the staff or the clients through a series of actions for system configurations or the resolution of issues
? Troubleshoot system and network problems - diagnosing and solving hardware or software faults
? Replace computer parts as required
? Provide support, including procedural documentation and relevant reports
? Follow diagrams and written instructions for repairing faults and for system set-ups
? Support the roll-out of new applications
? Set-up new users' accounts and profiles
? Deal with password issues
? Establish a good working relationship with customers and other professionals, e.g., software developers
? Conduct electrical safety checks on computer equipment
? Perform periodical security check on workstations and information network system
? Co-ordinate with third party or inter-company division to arrange, facilitate and execute both hardware or software installation or maintenance
? Perform UAT on new software or hardware before massive launch
? Ensure integrity and reliability of all web based software
? Archive data in an organized fashion
? Assist any ad-hoc IT projects as assigned by IT Manager.
Performance Management
? System breakdown incident shall be less than two per months
? End-users feedback on solving application enquires, the ultimate aim is no negative feedback from end-user
? Incident downtime not exceed one hour per incident
Requirements:
Higher Diploma or above in Computing, Information Technology or related disciplines.
CISCO Certified Network Associate (CCNA) / Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP) / Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) certificate holder is preferred but not essentials.
At least 2 years’ experiences in Mac & Windows operation system, networking and data system, helpdesk support and customer service.
Good command of both spoken and written English is needed.
Technical Skills:
? Hands on experience in Apple Mac OS and MS Windows platform;
? Experience with design publishing applications such as Adobe Creative Suite, Esko Pilot Automation Engine and Font Management System is highly preference;
? Experience with MS Active directory, account management and security group management is an asset.
Behavioural Competencies:
? Willing to learn and be a strong team player;
? Self-motivated and committed to provide excellent field application support;
? Able to work under pressure with tentative schedule;
? Overtime works may be required during peak periods.
