1.Job Title: Account Manager, Dairy - HNH
Location: Beijing
Business Group/Unit: DNP HNH Greater China
Reports to: National Sales Director

2.The Challenge

Key Responsibilities:
? Sales of DSM products directly to customers or through distribution channel in a designated area, achieving the respective budget targets in volume, price and OPEX.
? Development and implementation of Customer Action Plans (Caps) according to schedule agreed with immediate superior
? To monitor sales results by customer and product taking corrective measures whenever necessary.
? To inform management about relevant market data such as: competitive price strategy and/or actions; product demand, etc.
? To quote price and to develop commercial proposals according to agreed strategy
? To deliver commercial presentations aiming to improve customer knowledge of DSM products as well as to further develop DSM branding
? To prospect, searching for new customers, new business and promote innovation
? To acknowledge and strictly follow SHE policy in all activities

Complexity of the Position:
? Everything that is permitted by the assigned powers of signature within the framework of the approved Regional Plan for M&S and the applicable DNP/DSM policies authorized to decide/sign on
? Can represent DNP for contracts related to M&S / Pre-mix activities
? Market specific targets, customer portfolio and profitability margin
? Customer communication
? Market development and project support activities for existing products

3.The Position

Market characteristics:
? The vitamins and premix markets of HNH in China are highly competitive. DSM has a major strength by having a very strong and recognized quality image. This is a key success factor for the business since it provides a superior margin to DSM and reliability to quality conscious customers and leads to a lot of support and goodwill from the quality and regulatory authorities. In addition multinational accounts in China and accounts in Europe or US expect a “western style” quality system to be in place. For straight products we are facing the strong price competition from local suppliers.

Technological characteristics:
? Customers’ requests more and more new nutritional concepts to compete for more market share. But new nutritional products promotion is limited by the National Standard (GB). In terms of label claims our customers get challenged by local governmental supervisory departments due to testing errors of vitamins.

Organizational characteristics:
? Complex organization with many different departments, requiring very frequent communication and good understanding of the different concerns of each department for getting their support to realize customer satisfaction.

4.The Ideal
? Educational level: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in science/technology or business-related field
? Minimum 3 years of relevant experience; as sales dimensions increase in scope and complexity, relevant experience requirement should increase as well.
? Knowledge of and experience in own discipline: Knowledge of industry and markets, in depth know-how about products and/or applications
? Knowledge of and experience in other relevant disciplines
? Balance of commercial and technical knowledge , skills and experience
? Clear English communication skills
? Managerial/Social knowledge and experience:
? Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
? Team Player
? Negotiation Skill
? Ability to perform under stress
? Initiative
