Job Description and Responsibilities:
? Maintain 24/7 Plant manufacturing operations. Focus on safe, efficient, reliable maintenance and operation of plate and fin tooling to ensure the production of quality products.
? Carrying out routine scheduled maintenance work for all plate and fin die tooling
? Develop Engineering Technical Standard (ETS) for each die
? Meet KPI and OEE for all equipment – unplanned downtime, FPY and Scrap
? Responding to stamping press equipment faults; diagnosing breakdown problems; dealing with emergencies, unplanned problems and repairs;
? Write maintenance WI, develop and improve PM task list, Troubleshooting guide, LOTO procedures
? Follows up on scheduled assignments to assure they are completed on time and continually monitors the operating condition of press and dies, alerting to any signs of malfunction and ensuring there is continuous coverage of the machinery and equipment in case of breakdowns.
? As required, will write purchase requisitions for materials explaining the specific needs need to outside vendors, the tool room, or other sources to assure the build/repair of required tools, fixtures, equipment.
? Constantly seek to improve processes by developing awareness of state of the art systems, improving maintenance practices to generate cost savings related to the manufacturing processes.
? Works with outside vendors or contractors where needed on most projects and with representatives of division manufacturing engineering services and product engineering when needed.
? Select and train employees to develop competency, maintain their skill or craft (skill set development)
Position Requirements:
? Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Tooling Engineering or similar field of study.
? Tooling expertise / knowledge and tooling maintenance experience (minimum 5 years of experience with progressive dies)
? Experience with aluminum components stamping
? Problem solving capability on stamping process and trouble shooting for dies
? Desirable to have experience with LCOC plate tooling (if we can find a candidate from a competitor or from a tool supplier)
? Leadership behavior and people management skill, this position will manage the tooling maintenance team/function
? Automotive industry experience desired
? Strong analytical skills including knowledge of computer based software – MS Office package, MS Project, Auto CAD, Solid Edge
? Demonstration of good oral and written communication skills in both Chinese and English.
