Job description
The Group Internal Audit and Assurance (GIAA) function recruits a full-time internal auditor to cover the region Northern Asia (China, Japan and Korea), starting as soon as possible.

Mission
Your mission will be to contribute to strengthening the Group Internal Audit process and function, as described in The Way We Do Things.
 
Examples of responsibilities are:
- Participating and leading internal audits in the current project-based model.
- Responsibility for managing, coordinating, planning and quality assurance of internal audit activities in the region.
- Participation in the development and maintenance of the Internal Audit process.
- Supporting in the development and implementation of professional Internal Audit tools, methods and training material.
- Conduct training in the areas of internal audit, internal control, The Way We Do Things, etc.

You will report administratively to the Holding Controller at Atlas Copco (China) Investments and functionally to the Vice President Group Internal Audit and Assurance.

Experience requirements
You need at least three years’ experience of working in Atlas Copco but longer working life experience. We believe you have experience from controlling and finance, purchase, logistic or production. But we welcome applications from all functions, with the ambition to increase diversity.

The experience from external or internal auditing is positive as is the experience from having worked in Asia and in particular in China. You have a good understanding of how Atlas Copco conducts its business and of Group policies and guidelines as in The Way We Do Things.

It is desirable that you have experience of working with GPS and Excel. Experience from working in other IT systems is a plus.

Critical competencies for success
In the role as internal auditor you can at times face challenging situations and questions so you should have courage and integrity. The work requires that you are efficient and relatively independent and can set priorities. At the same time good interaction in internal audit teams and with companies as well as divisions is crucial for high quality of internal audits. It is also important to share expertise and technology as well as to promote leading practices. Following and having knowledge of The Way We Do Things will contribute to being successful in this role.

Knowledge
Process knowledge.
Verbal and written communication capabilities in English is a must and additional languages is an advantage in particular Mandarin (Chinese).
Good IT skills.
Basic knowledge of accounting standards (IFRS) as well as of existing internal audit and risk assessment tools.

Educational requirements
It is required to have a university degree or equivalent education.

Personality requirements
You have to be analytical and structured and at the same time have good communication skills, both verbally and in writing. A high degree of personal integrity is important. You are curious and interested to learn about the Group and its processes and projects. You need to be self-motivating and enjoy to at times work individually or in a team.

Location and timing
The location of this assignment is in Shanghai, China. Other members of the Group Internal Audit team are located around the world.

The Group Internal Audit and Assurance (GIAA) function was created in 2008 to ensure compliance with the Group’s corporate governance, internal control and risk management policies. We use the current project-based Internal Audit process, complemented and strengthened by a few dedicated persons. The objective of the GIAA function is to reduce the risk for loss of Group assets due to non-compliance with Group policies, laws and regulations as well as to create more value through improved efficiency and increased risk awareness.
