PURPOSE:
To support the creation of a qualified, sustainable, competitive textile supply chain that consistently meets OM NOVA specifications and customer requirements.

MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES
Responsible for sourcing, development, evaluation and approval of all new fabric materials used in OMN DPC.
Work closely with cross functional departments to identify new fabric suppliers and to establish alternative sou rces for current fabrics used.
Develop and implement a textile supplier qualification process.
Review all existing OMN purchased textile specifications and evaluate their fitness for use through our manufac turing operations and to meet customer requirements
Make recommendations for changes to OMN purchased textile specifications to meet customer requirements and busin ess financial targets
Be the owner of OMN textile specifications and develop and manage a specification approval and change management process
Establish yarn quality parameters with each OMN qualified textile supplier to help ensure purchased textiles can meet OMN specifications and customer requirements
Work with suppliers in developing suitable textiles which consistently meet OMN customer requirements
Work in close collaboration with the OMN quality department to establish and manage a textile supplier quality a ssurance process to ensure qualified suppliers meet approved specifications prior to shipment to OMN manufacturi ng operations.
Travel within the Asia region to meet textile suppliers and perform textile sourcing and quality assurance work. Perform textile supplier audits as necessary to ensure incoming quality.
Understand current customer requirements for OMN finished products
Help to establish or improve a customer approval process for OMN finished products
Help to define OMN finished product specifications or standards to meet customer requirements
Perform testing to evaluate the performance of the textile to requirements.

PERSON REQUIREMENT
· Bachelors degree in textile science or textile engineering from a well established institute within Asia region.
· Poses 3- 5 years of experiences in fabric/textile manufacturing process and have a strong background and understanding of various textile technologies.
· Knowledge in ISO9000 and internal auditor certification is an added advantage.
· Has good understanding of natural and synthetic yarn fibers, yarn construction, and yarn specification requir ed for textile manufacturing.
· Have extensive experience dealing with textile suppliers, especially in China and Asia region.
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a team-based cultural orientation.
· Able to fluently speak, read and write in both Chinese and English. Other language proficiency is desirable.
