We are seeking a Vendor Manager to join our growing Global Sourcing Department at our Rep-Office in Shanghai Jingan district.

This person will deal directly with our vast vendor base, communicate closely with oversea headquarter, field group and vendors, assist US team on negotiating cost, insuring product quality, and driving on-time delivery. A strong aptitude for analytics, creative problem solving, and an ability to drive projects to completion is essential. This role requires dynamic i***olvement with multiple groups throughout our business, provides a chance to make a big impact, and offers opportunity for dramatic career growth.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

-Manage daily business with hundreds of vendors in China
-Predict potential risk of vendors (fi***cial/e***ironmental risk, etc.)
-Verify/negotiate capacity to meet company requirement
-Ensure all production schedules are met, and finished goods are delivered on-time
-Negotiate product costing for spend in the hundreds of millions
-Travel as needed to achieve excellent results
-Work closely with field group of the same vendor management team and overseas headquarter vendor management team and also Collaborate with sourcing team, shipping team and quality teams on a daily basis to serve enterprise objectives and understand total impact of any actions
-Drive projects and achieve results by working within and around current systems to meet assigned goals
-Additional duties as assigned by manager

Job Qualifications – Education and Experience

-5+ years’ experience working in a foreign company and traveling with foreigners, manufacture management experience is preferred
-Bachelor’s degree required
-Good at both writing and speaking English and excel skills
-Substantial business acumen and experience negotiating multi-turn resolutions and hitting firm deadlines
-Strong interpersonal skills with excellent planning and proven analytic problem solving talent
-Management skills with drive, initiative and “never settle” attitude
-Superb leadership and effective communication skills
-Focus on details and be sensitive for information
-Hands-on experience with sourcing, contract manufacturing, and logistics coordination in a FMCG e***ironment
