Specific Responsibilities:

1.Working with International Product Engineering or R&D to provide implementation support for New Product Development.

2.Working with International Purchasing/Procurement Agents/ Development Engineers to assist in the progress of new parts and communication with vendors on technical questions to agree and finalise component specification.

3.Liaising with Local vendors in the implementation of engineering changes.

4.Continually looking at cost reduction/product improvements for all new and existing Product lines.

5.Provide day-to-day maintenance support for all locally manufactured products, including answering technical queries from Customer Care, monitoring US, International product change activity and understanding implication of change for local product ranges.

6.Validate existing engineering drawings in accordance with Corporate Engineering Standards to ensure correct revision & technical content to ensure correct BOM creation

7.Update item masters, product structures and general database maintenance in support of project activities and the efficient running of the system.

8.Co-ordinate project workload and resource availability with engineering team based in the UK on a regular basis

Competencies:

1.3 years experience within anengineering or similar environment utilising BOM creation.

2.Familiarity with manufacturing, MRP and production control processes

3.Ability to demonstrate understanding of database theory and practice.

4.Effective presentation and communication skills at all levels

5.Ability to work with teams and achieving quality results on time.

6.Lateral thinker and confident problem solver
