Accountability
· Work proactively to develop new components based on trends, suitable for all departments and price levels.
· Work closely with your team to ensure all component areas are covered
· Keep timeline to ensure developments are ready on time

                         
Main Responsibilities
· Receive trend information form the Trend Developers, and develop new components based on the upcoming trends.
· Follow the trends released by the White room as well as the Visual Goals and Tendencies from each of the brands/departments.
· Familiarize yourself with the brands and departments and their customer to ensure all cost levels are covered. Understand their stuk and standards (eg kids safety restrictions)
· Work to develop cost-conscious ways for all depts./ brands to achieve trending components
· Develop suppliers with your technical knowledge to suggest new ideas and techniques.
· Where applicable support suppliers to build their knowledge and encourage new development.
· Proactively source new technology (yarns, machinery, processes) that could be applicable.
· Work with BO/GPO/PO teams on missions to provide tailored technical design support for specific design requests and develop artwork simulations by software Shima and Procad Developer. Adobe illustrator/ Photoshop for artwork creation.
· Provide technical problem solving help to teams in production when needed. Be able to suggest alternative solutions, cost conscious options and provide instructions for suppliers to help teams achieve the right result
· You will work with all fabrics from outdoor to sport, to lightweight. Understand the applications and needs of different garments to be able to develop and promote the correct fabrics to teams
· Build and maintain a reference library for new lace structure and techniques
· Work with the IT teams to support conscious developments
· Trainings and travel to expand knowledge
· Compiling of training material in liason with PO & BO teams.
· Encouraged to think outside the box, be creative and offer newness regularly.
. Able to multi task and manage timeline, good English oral is required.
Education and Experience requirements
· Textile design or fashion design background are preferred.
. Excellent taste level, awareness of latest trends and an eye for quality.
· 3-5 years’ experience working in fashion retail/production for textiles
· Experience of using looms from hand looms to production level
· In-depth technical knowledge of woven fabrics and their use for garments
Knowledge and Skills requirements
· Clear communication skills including written, verbal with people in diverse locations
· Basic computer skills. Photoshop and/or Illustrator proficient
· CAD skills
· Analytical skills
· Language proficiency – English and local language (where the role is based)
· Strong production experience
· Trend awareness
· Currently working withor past experience in textiles.

Procad Developer 14 --Simulate normal lace
Shima Seiki Apex 3 SDS1 --Simulate chemical lace
Adobe Creative Suite --Adobe illustrator & Photoshop to create artworks and sketches
