职位描述：
APPLICATION - ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1/ Prepares for customer inquiries by studying products, services, and customer service process.
2/ Responds to customer inquiries by understanding the “Voice of Customer” (Customer needs); Look at previous inquiries and quotations; researching information; verifying customer case understanding and answer, sending new quotations...
3/ Develops conceptual designs to facilitate customer integration and application opportunities. Works with designers and customer technical personnel to facilitate sale of the product.
4/ Coordinates customer training and makes product sales presentations and visits to target customers demonstrating the advantages of the engineered products.
5/ Works with Altra sales representatives to keep account activities and literature up to date.
6/ Develops and maintains an Activity plan towards “Target key customers”, including opportunities, quotes, orders and projects.
7/ Compiles lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads, based on market and industry knowledge, information from previous inquiries, trade shows, answers in direct mails, aged leads, business directories, Internet web sites and other sources.
8/ Handles inbound sales leads to convert calls into sales and overcomes technical and business objections of prospective customers. Provides engineering information by answering questions and requests.
9/ Determines new specifications by studying product requirements, analyzing equipment design and capabilities.
10/ Provides product demos to customers on request, emphasizes engineered features and advantages, quotes prices and credit terms and prepares sales orders for orders obtained.

11/ Work closely with the Value Stream “Master Planner” (person in charge of Customer Service – Planning - Procurement) to follow up the factory orders and estimates date of delivery to customer based on knowledge of production and delivery schedules.
12/ Investigates and resolves customer issues with deliveries and after sales service or technical support.
13/ Prepares product report by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information (including Quality, Test & Labs certificates, For example: API 610, API 671…)
14/ Travels to and attends trade shows in China and Abroad.
15/ Maintains product and company reputation by complying with government regulations, ensure compliance with all ISO procedures within the order entry process.


PRODUCT - ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1/ Bring hints, technical ideas, develop and maintains simple drawings, designs and specifications for products (Mostly disc couplings). Good command with SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
2/ Calculate, size some parameters of the products and provides required data for literature, brochures and catalogues.
3/ Maintain technical computer information (other than financial data).
4/ Oversees the technical aspect of the production process for composite, metal machining and assembly shop floors
5/ Trains employees for Engineering topics (Operators, Technicians, Supervisors…) to facilitate their work environment and duties.
6/ Maintain good communication with other departments and sister companies to facilitate production process.
7/ Cooperate on a “daily” basis with sister companies in the USA, UK… for technical dimensioning, selecting the right couplings, importing specific range of couplings from their Western facilities and develop step by step the technical Coupling capability and knowledge in Altra ShenZhen.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology (preferred), with experience abroad (University studies, Internship, employment) preferably in the USA, UK or Europe.
2 to 5 year experience in the same product / business range (Mechanical systems).
Experience, knowledge in Gear boxes would be appreciated.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Fluent in Mandarin and oral English, other languages are a plus…
Ability to read and interpret documents such as drawings, general business periodicals, professional journals, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, technical and procedure manuals and government regulations. Ability to write routine reports, operating instructions, procedure manuals, and business correspondences. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of employees and managers, customers, clients and the general public.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems, common sense, and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS – WORK ENVIRONMENT
Good health and physical conditions to handle parts, occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes, moderate noise or dusty environment. Potential risk of electrical shock, explosives and vibrations. Able to travel quite regularly in China and from time to time abroad. 举报 分享
