职位描述

BASIC FUNCTION
Supports our philosophy of zero defects and continuous improvement by participating in Advance Quality Planning, PPAP and Continuous Improvement Initiatives, Supplier development, documenting quality procedures/plans, performing special studies and leading Problem Solving teams. Complete corrective and preventative actions and communicate results of these activities to customers.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
· Excellent communication skills in Chinese (Mandarin/Cantonese) & English, both verbal and written.
· Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with good interacting exposure with customers.
· Ability to travel throughout China and Asia meeting with customers and suppliers.
· Four year degree or equivalent certified Quality Engineer or six years minimum experience in quality control.
· Experience in Advanced Quality Planning Processes (APQP) & PPAP.
· Experience in leading Problem Solving efforts and applying team problem solving techniques.
· Experience in working directly with the Customer.
· Strong Statistical Process Control (SPC) knowledge.
· Experience in a TS16949 or ISO-9000 based quality system.
· Demonstrated ability to use a variety of gages.
· Demonstrated skills with personal computer applications.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Tier 1 or Tier 2 Automotive experience
· Experience in TS16949 & ISO14000
· Experience in Production Part Approval Process (PPAP)
· Experience in Automotive Problem Solving methodologies
· Certified Quality Engineer or Six Sigma Green Belt

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES

Concern Resolution
· Primary contact point to customers and supervise the overall product quality performance for Asia applications of Charter Automotive components.
· Lead efforts to contain, resolve and communicate quality problems in a timely manner, particularly customer complaints and internal/supplier concerns, and lead/participate in their resolution in a Team environment.
· Lead and coordinate all customer returns, containment and attending to field failures in cooperation with the responsible Charter Automotive facility.
· Primary contact in resolving Customer and Supplier issues. Key contact in resolving plant quality issues
APQP
· Participate/Lead Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) Teams to assure process capability and control meet customer requirements with Design Engineering, Business and Program Management teams
· Assist or Lead in the resolution of APQP supplier or manufacturing issues in conjunction with Manufacturing, Engineering and Supply Chain.
· Control review and verification of, and create as necessary, all APQP supporting documents and quality procedures; (i.e. control plans, inspection reports, testing instructions, PFMEA, etc.)
· Prepare and submit Sample Documentation including shipping inspection/certifications, Prototype and PPAP.
· Support Supplier Quality Development Programs (APQP) in conjunction with the Supply Chain and Engineering Departments, assuring purchased product quality and continuous improvement initiatives.
Quality Systems
· Assist in developing and maintaining control of the TS-16949 Quality System, related communication, training and documentation.
· Perform internal and supplier audits, and maintains auditing documentation and train employees in auditing related methods or procedures as needed.
· Develop and implement standards, gauging and methods, for inspection, testing and evaluation.
· Devise sampling procedures and develop forms and instructions for recording, evaluating, and reporting quality and reliability data.
· Establish methods for measuring and monitoring performance data concerning, material, product, or process quality and reliability.
· Perform Production Readiness evaluations, report and identify recommended actions.
· Monitor and update Customer web sites and Supplier accreditations.
· Promote an environment of open communication and teamwork regarding quality.
