Job Summary
The Sourcing Engineer will lead efforts in exploring, initiating, developing, and validating opportunities in quality improvements and cost savings and other supply chain related opportunities. The individual in this role will act as the technical interface between suppliers and development/ manufacturing engineers to determine new and alternate sources.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Review supplier’s processes and identify improvement opportunities in processes and systems at supplier locations to improve quality, cost and flow of supplied materials throughout the entire supply chain.
2. Work with New Product Development (NPD) teams to ensure the integrity and clarity of engineering drawing requirements and that all expectations are communicated effectively to supporting suppliers.
3. Interact with NPD teams to ensure suppliers are involved in development and review of specifications to promote design for manufacturability.
4. Investigate alternate component technologies for reduced cost or improved quality and reliability and implements changes.
5. Continuous involvement in the Supplier Selection Process to develop a supply base that provides competitive advantage in quality, value/cost, delivery and technology.
6. Conduct supplier qualification process and audits in compliance with company supplier performance and monitoring goals and objectives.
7. Support day-to-day activities to support Receiving Inspection process
8. Assist with quality problem resolutions
Qualifications:
 
Minimum Education & Experience:
1. BS in Engineering or Technical Degree in mechanical or electrical/electronic engineering.
2. Minimum 5 years sourcing experiences in FESCO company
3. Good interpersonal, project management and presentation skills with the ability to clearly present recommendations and ideas and to summarize complex issues
4. Ability to communicate in a professional and positive manner
5. Highly organized self-starter
6. Strong analytical skills with ability to solve complex problems and use good judgment
7. Technical detail-oriented
8. Demonstrated ability to work in a highly regulated environment
9. Knowledge of ISO and other recognized international quality system standards
10. Ability to travel up to 10-20% of the time, both domestically and internationally
11. HVAC/Ventilation & FAN industry background is perfect
12. Good in oral/written in English and MS office
13. C.P.M/CPSM certification is plus 举报 分享
