Position Summary
-Accountable for the planning, organizing and directing of day-to-day applications; engineering, project management; procurement as well as sales and marketing functions related to the operations in China out of the Beijing office. Provide leadership and foster a mentoring atmosphere with the ultimate goal of making the Beijing office truly independent from North American support and operations.

Essential Functions/Areas of Responsibility
-Manage / deliver all phases of the engineering and project management functions through sales support, design development, engineering submittals, equipment procurement to final installation and commissioning.
-Deliver projects within budget, schedule, quality and customer satisfaction standards.
-Build engineering and project management expertise through development of people and processes / tools.
-Develop and implement transparent operational protocols.
-Ensure effective communication among staff, management and the Guelph headquarters.
-Increase value to customers by leading cross-functional efforts to analyze current designs, make recommendations and implement solutions as a key contributor to our continuous improvement process.
-Generate project technical data packages including; process and instrumentation diagrams, design calculations, general assembly drawings, fabrication drawings, component specifications / bills of material, assembly instructions, installation manuals, operating and maintenance manuals.
-Develop, control and maintain standard system designs and item data bases.
-Provide technical support to the customer service organization for equipment commissioning, complaint resolution, etc., as required.
-Develop and execute a fraud/corruption prevention program and maintain vigilance.
-Work cooperatively with Guelph and Victor staff to integrate Chinese suppliers into the Global Supply Chain.

Knowledge & Expertise
-Professional engineer with a degree in mechanical or chemical engineering disciplines
-10 years previous engineering experience in a similar team lead role in a high-tech manufacturing environment
-Resource development, allocation, monitoring and control
-Business Process Planning
-English and Mandarin reading, writing, speaking skills are mandatory
