1. REPORT TO

Hierarchic responsible: Business Unit Manager

Project responsible: Project Leader

2. CONTRIBUTION OF THE FUNCTION TO THE ORGANIZATION STRATEGY


Offer total solutions customer tailored for the process and utility related industry by design, realization and follow up of the electrical part within industrial projects.

3. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

3.1 Electrical

-Responsible for the quality of the electrical schemes:
? Designs the electrical schemes or delivers the necessary information to the design company or junior electrical engineers
? Verification of the electrical schemes, who come back from the design company or junior electrical engineers
-Responsible for the right choice of all necessary electrical components, instrumentation and responsible to make electrical components, instrumentation lists and datasheets.
-Responsible for the As built drawings after panel construction and site cabling
-Assists to work out the technical concept

3.2 Project

- Manages independently small electrical projects
- Prepares the work for a junior engineer and follows this up

3.3 Site Supervision

- Provides the necessary information to the internal or external supervisor
- Perform the necessary research works on the site
- Supervision of the site: follow the proper execution of the works, and if necessary takes corrective measures
- Final responsibility over the quality, timing and budget for the executed works
- Ensures that construction activities are performed safely

3.4 Safety

- Integrates the safety guide lines of Actemium and the clients in the preparatory work
- Ensures a safe working environment, during the execution of works
- Takes appropriate measures in case safety incidents occur

3.5 Budget and quotations

- Controls the scope of the project and signals possible deviations
- Supervision of electrical subcontractors on the site
- Assists to make the budget of the electrical part of the project
- Assists to define risks when making quotations and calculates them
- Studies tender documents within his expertise
- End responsibility over the quality of the panel supplier and cabling suppliers and this within the budget of a specific project
- Detect and calculation of extra works
- Enquiry and evaluation of quotations of electrical panel and cabling suppliers in the framework of a specific project
- Order materials for a specific project in corporation with ‘Purchase’
- Order of subcontractors for panel supply and cabling for a specific project in corporation with ‘Purchase’


4. OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES

Project Leader: Can externally act as project leader for mono discipline electrical projects and takes here for the end responsibility

Discipline Coordinator: Can act as discipline coordinator for multi discipline projects and takes here for the end responsibility for the part within the own expertise

5. MANAGING DUTIES

- Guides and monitors a limited number of junior electrical engineers and site collaborators technical and functional and supports them from the own technical expertise.
- Supports and guides the subcontractor on the site.


6. NECESSARY COMPETENCIES and KNOWLEDGE

Education

Bachelor in a technical field
University degree in electrical/instrumentation engineering

Experience (years and type)
l
3 to 5 years’ experience as electrical/instrument engineer within industrial projects or other relevant experience

Languages

Chinese: Mother tongue
