职位描述

The Opportunity:
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced category merchandising executive to join and work for a world's famous sports brand. The company is a world-leading sports clothing manufacturer, Besides sports footwear, the company also produces other products such as bags, shirts, watches, eyewear, and other sports- and clothing-related goods.

Key Objectives:
- To develop compelling business strategies for Apparel / Accessories / Hardware business and drive the category management and GTM process with the Merchandising Director
- To build category image, consumer preference, consumer loyalty to achieve the company sales and profitability target

Key Responsibilities:
Planning
- Develop category specific plan and strategy based on market data-sell-thru, customer and consumer insights.
- Develop seasonal ranges that include national/regional launch flows and comprehensive range structure that are supported with initial GTM plans
- Drive category development plan in alignment with global vision
- Drive and consolidate commercial input process with full cross-functional collaboration taking into account regional needs and customer/consumer insights
- Develop annual category strategic plan inline with overall company objectives and potential business opportunities
- Transfer product knowledge to sales & marketing teams to ensure consistent understanding towards products/key concepts to be able to present a professional image in front of both customers and consumers.
Management
- Be the means of contact and communication with global Bus
- Coordinate with Brand Communications/Retail Marketing/Operations/Planning teams to have integrated and on-time category product launches
- Prepare and organize trade meeting presentations, tools and packages
- Coordinate and communicate with global (and regional) colleagues for category plans, performance and review
Financial
- Ensure products achieve target standard (list) margins
- Assumes responsibility for P/L (up to list margin) of the category
- Align MWB with other functional marketing team
Systems and Processes
- Implement seasonal preparation process to facilitate company business cycle
- Conduct sample management according to the sample management process
- Maintain systems and files such as: Master and calendar files / forecasting, DMT, RMA, etc.
- Co-ordinate category communications, sports promotion, product, retail and trade marketing activities to deliver a clear and consistent message to consumers, athletes, the trade, and our client's staff in the region
- Implement control systems to guarantee high level of integrity
- Implement and maintain reporting processes for category team
People Management
- Define specific targets and review with each direct report in line with a China guidelines
- Plan include goals, key job responsibilities, competency development, measures and follow-up activities
- Provide supervisions, coaching and feedback to subordinates, insisting on integrity and openness
- Manage, develop and motivate team in alignment with the China organization
- Pay attention to team member performance improvement
Training
- Implement a training and development plan for category team
- Ensure team understand the role of marketing, and branding
- To some extent, actively participate in departmental level trainings and development initiatives and activities
- Through the internal communications team, communicate category marketing information and initiatives to entire company in a timely fashion

Professional background / Experience
- Functional - Over 6-8 years of proven merchandising experience with 2 years at senior level with major apparel/fashion/footwear companies
- Industry - Ideally in apparel/fashion/footwear
- Relevant China market experience

- Bachelor's Degree in business related discipline is required
