Job Summary
Responsible for all sourcing activity on new business opportunities that develop in Asia. Works closely with the Supplier Development Engineer to ensure that Southco is sourcing with suppliers who are capable of minimizing the total cost of ownership for Southco components and assemblies sourced in Asia, as well as providing quality product. Works closely with colleagues in Asia and other regions to resolve issues and improve supply chain performance of Asian supply base.

Job Accountabilities
1. SOURCING ACTIVITY - Working with the Supplier Development Engineer, the Product Development Manager, and others, identifies suppliers in Asia that are capable of providing superior quality products at competitive costs. Uses a variety of tools and methods to identify new suppliers that meet these requirements. Assists Southco internal customers in routing components and assemblies required by new business opportunities to the appropriate supplier in Asia.
2. SUPPLIER DEVELOPMENT - Supports supplier development activities in Asia. Identify potential candidates for AVL and work closely Works very closely with the Supplier Development Engineer to assess vendor and approve new vendors. Work closely with SQE to measure vendor performance , set improvement plan and make sure implement timely. Set supplier consolidation plan based on vendor performance and business opportunities and follow closely to make sure implement.
3. COMMODITY MANAGEMENT – Follow closely commodity market trend and benchmark to drive proper negotiation with supplier, Work closely with supplier management team to maintain good relationship with supplier and gain good service from supplier. Follows Global Work Instructions related to purchasing/procurement and develops (with assistance from Corp.) local work instructions.
4. SOURCING TEAM BUILDING CONTRIBUTION – Work as mentor for junior sourcing, to give training and coach to junior sourcing for function profession, and work as advisor to junior sourcing in daily job, and other task assigned by Sourcing manager.

Minimum Requirements
1.University degree in Business or equivalent.
2.Over 8 years experience with procurement, sourcing, and supplier development.
