PUBLICATIONS & MARKETING ASSISTANT

As a key member of the Marketing, Admissions & Communications team at the British International School Shanghai, Puxi, reporting to the Publications Manager, you will be responsible for the creativity and design of all publications internally and externally, and producing contemporary and premium collateral.

The role of Publications & Marketing Assistant includes creating, designing, editing publications materials and co-ordinating with external agencies to produce premium and contemporary designs for our school. You will be a creative person with excellent communication, strong English speaking skills, and presentation skills and will have previous experience in design, photoshop, and video editing experience desirable and dealing with various stakeholders. The role will also involve communications with internal administration and teaching staff.

KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
? Updating school collateral/visuals and adhering to corporate brand guidelines for all school communications both online and
        offline
? Preparing school collateral, curriculum guides, marketing collateral, posters, for print
? Managing and updating content for school website through CMS
? Preparing weekly school newsletter in terms of collating content and imagery
? Preparation of online marketing emails through mail chimp both for targeted marketing and enquiry
? Maintaining and updating school social media sites on regular basis with postings and imagery
? Preparation of online marketing emails through mail chimp both for targeted marketing and enquiry

? Liaising with external agencies e.g. printers and other brand agencies
? Research, sourcing materials and products from suppliers
? Co-ordinate and liaison with various internal departments to ensure purchase order accurate and complete
? Creating, Editing and compiling a series of publications highlighting the work of the school (e.g. Activities Week, Fairs, PTA
        Events etc.)
? Atending/Documenting/Photographing of important events which can be used for marketing purposes
? Undertaking ad hoc activities as requested by management

Qualifications/Requirements:
? Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Communications, Public Relations, Marketing or a related field ;
? 2+ years’ work experience in Graphic Design, public relations, marketing, communication or other relevant sectors;
? Excellent graphic design skills; Excellent software skills with proficiency in InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat, Film
        editing
? Fluency in Chinese and English with excellent writing and presentation skills;
? Proficiency in Adobe Design and MS-Office tools ;
? Basic knowledge of offset printing and digital printing;
? Experience in Photography/Advertising/Poster design
? Knowledge of CMS systems and functionality
? Prior experience in an international school or related position is desirable
