MTU’s well-established operation in China is based on the operations of MTU Hong Kong, MTU Engineering (Suzhou) and MTU China in Shanghai. While MTU Hong Kong is the distributor and thus responsible for the direct customer support, MTU Suzhou Engineering is an assembly factory to assemble and supply series 2000 engines and MTU China in Shanghai develops and manages the strategic activities in the country.
 
Under the MTU brand, we develop and produce large high-speed engines and propulsion systems for ships and heavy land, rail and defence vehicles, as well as drive systems for use in the oil and gas industry and in power generation. Our diesel engines and gas engines are capable of power outputs up to 10,000 kW and 2,535 kW respectively. MTU also supplies customized electronic automation and control units for its engines and propulsion systems.

Key Accountabilities

General
? Leader in customer service, maintenance and repair for engine and associated equipment and general workshop and fitting duties
 
In Detail
? Servicing work including installation and commissioning for products in the company’s scope of business, working in-house, at site and on board duties, etc., both within and out of Hong Kong, and completion of the related documentation
? Liaison work and meeting with customer as necessary
? Handling inquiry from customers
? Reporting customer and market information and feed-back
? Organizing team work in servicing duties
? Supervisory duties in team work and coaching of sub-ordinate team members
? Control and monitoring of all servicing work of the company in terms of work quality, efficiency, cost saving, safety, adherence to company policies and instructions, etc.
? Coordinating with related inter-departments and MTU organizations as required
? Responsibility on the achievement of customer satisfaction, quality standards and work targets
? In-house workshop maintenance and routine
? Presentation of good company image and maintaining good customer relationship
? Preparing servicing reports and completion of full set of standard servicing forms
? Update of technical data, record and information
? Handling application work and consultant support in sales and after sales activities
? Assisting Product Support Services management work
? Risk Assessment before starting work
? Travel and work abroad is required when necessary
? Special assignment from time to time
? Formal 3 education with apprenticeship in diesel engine related trades
? Minimum 6 years working experience in diesel engine maintenance and repair
? Sound technical knowledge with minimum 4 years experience in MTU engine servicing
? Ability to write technical report and interpretation of service manual in English
? Good inter-personal, communication and leadership skill
? Self-confident and initiative and ability to work independently
