职位描述:
- Negotiate the best prices and conditions with suppliers according to quality and specification criteria’s
- Manage the process of selecting appropriate suppliers as per company guidelines
- Manage the purchasing orders with strong planning/anticipation capabilities
- Receive and understand briefings from headquarters
- Contact suppliers and collect all information on supplier profiles and update the supplier data base
- Assess supplier’s capabilities and propose action plans for improvement
- Monitor the samples' schedule to ensure timely delivery, handle price inquiries and follow all sample details for development
- Involve in new product design and development
- Maintain proper records and documentation for all purchasing
- Lead & coordinate with in-house department
- Work closely with QA team regarding product quality and shipment schedules
- Prepare and organize buyer’s trip schedule
- Make sure suppliers follow the code of ethic
- Undertake analysis for market and competitive brand information to monitor industry trends, regulations to develop new products and find new suppliers
- Train the assistant-merchandiser & Junior Merchandiser
- Coordinate and prepare product tenders
- Visit Trade shows
Skills:
- 5 to 7 years experience in purchasing with technical background in wood/flooring industries is a must;
- Good knowledge of DIY/home improvement/Retail Industry of North American market
- Excellent knowledge of purchasing strategies
- Good ethical track record
- Good interpersonal, organizing and coordinating skills
- Highly accountable & adaptable
- Excellent communication skills and negotiation skills
- Good team work and sense of urgency.
- Proactive approach to problem solving.
- Demonstrated good character of honesty and integrity
- Computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
- Autonomous, rigorous, detailed focused
- Native Chinese and fluent in English
