A unique and exciting opportunity for a Veterinary Intern

We are seeking dynamic, enthusiastic recently qualified veterinary surgeon to join our bear and vet team. The position will be based at our China Bear Rescue Centre (CBRC) near Chengdu, Sichuan province. The position is a broad-based one year program of flexible rotating clinical instruction beyond the professional degree (e.g., DVM). The position is structured to provide International standard practical experience in applying knowledge gained during veterinary college in a supervised environment.
本中心现招募有活力有激情的应届毕业兽医外科医生加入我们的月熊兽医团队。 工作地点为四川省成都市成都黑熊救护中心。本职位为期一年期，在外科门诊进行岗位轮换，所提供的技术指导远超兽医学博士等职业学位。您在学校中学到的知识，能在实际工作中得到国际标准的实践指导。

This position will involve assisting the Vet Surgeons and the veterinary nurses with all routine duties pertaining to the health of resident bears in our purpose built high standard veterinary hospital, also cats and dogs treated via the new small animal hospital. Other duties will include record keeping, preparing medications and maintaining excellent standards of hygiene in all clinical areas.
The Veterinary Intern will report to the Veterinary surgeons and Senior Veterinary Nurse, but will work closely with the whole team. He/She may be required to travel within Asia and participate in welfare outreach and veterinary training projects, and work with local veterinarians.
本职位的职责包括协助兽医及护士处理黑熊救护中心的日常工作，确保黑熊的健康，同时也包括在小动物医院治疗的猫狗。其他职责包括数据记录，准备药物，保持中心门诊区域良好的卫生环境。兽医实习生向兽医外科医生以及高级兽医护士汇报工作，但也需要与整个团队紧密合作。需要在亚洲范围内出差，包括动物福利及兽医培训项目，与当地兽医合作。

Requirements:
A degree in veterinary science and good understanding of written and oral English is essential.
Excellent clinical and organizational skills, attention to detail, an aptitude for problem-solving medicine and self-directed learning and plenty of initiative and flexibility.
A good sense of humor, excellent communication skills and the ability to live and work closely with the rest of the team comprising both western and local staff.
Suitable candidates must be able to commit for a minimum of 1 year.
Applications are required to be bilingual, both Chinese and English.
Applicants are required to have or going to have The National Veterinary Qualification Certificate.

Appointment is paid, full-time, five (5) days a week with some weekend work applicable.
