MTU’s well-established operation in China is based on the operations of MTU Hong Kong, MTU Engineering (Suzhou) and MTU China in Shanghai. While MTU Hong Kong is the distributor and thus responsible for the direct customer support, MTU Suzhou Engineering is an assembly factory to assemble and supply series 2000 engines and MTU China in Shanghai develops and manages the strategic activities in the country.
Under the MTU brand, we develop and produce large high-speed engines and propulsion systems for ships and heavy land, rail and defence vehicles, as well as drive systems for use in the oil and gas industry and in power generation. Our diesel engines and gas engines are capable of power outputs up to 10,000 kW and 2,535 kW respectively. MTU also supplies customized electronic automation and control units for its engines and propulsion systems.

Key Accountabilities
General
? Responsible for the order processing and import & export matters for PowerGen products in China.
In Detail
? Liaise with relevant departments and customer to carry out order and delivery processing.
? Handle importation & exportation formalities with forwarders, customs.
? Handle Letter of Credit negotiation.
? Prepare all required documents for the importation and exportation.
? Liaise with relevant departments to prepare delivery documents (delivery notes, packing lists, invoice, etc.).
? Co-ordinate with appointed agent/forwarder for customs declaration and clearance.
? Manage the customs declaration agents and evaluate their performance regularly.
? File and maintain all related documents with regards to completeness of records and easy traceability.
? Provide support to sales staff (PowerGen) of MTU China operations in sales matters.
? Prepare and update records, data for the sales and country reports.
? Back up support in the department.
Special assignment from time to time.
