Job Description:

· Manage the Quality Control Inspection Program at Contract Manufacturers to ensure finished products consistently meet or exceed the quality standards necessary for complete customer satisfaction. Analyze the audit needs and ensure effective inspections are scheduled in coordination with production dates where applicable.

o Manage, train and monitor Quality Control Inspectors and manage factory inspection points to ensure compliance to product specifications based on integrated risk assessments and quality management systems.

o Coordination of process validation, process control and process capability.

o Ensure that quality controls are maintained during the startup of new / changes of products.

o Apply sound quality management tools and approaches to analytical and reporting processes.

o Lead regular communication of overall plant quality performance to management, staff, and factory personnel.

· Collaborate with Contract Mfg. and HCD stakeholders to continuously improve our capability to meet product specifications, process control yields and reduce waste

o Lead the process validation, process controls and process capability; ensure that quality controls are maintained during the startup of and initial production of new products.

o Manage Document and Data Control Processes ensuring compliance to all quality system requirements.

o Continued evaluation of procedures, to enhance quality systems

o Work with upstream suppliers to define plant requirements and ensure conformance to standards

o Ensure design verification and validation activities are performed.

· Manage the Corrective and Preventive Action Program (CAPA), including supplier CAPA issues.

o Manage timely evaluation, investigation and resolution of issues / complaints related to product quality by leading quality defect analysis and elimination efforts.

o Provide technical quality problem solving and support, and leads the resolution of quality-related issues for existing product operations and new product introduction.

o Review and analyze the effectiveness of modifications made

o Quantify and track cost of quality and lead associated recovery efforts

· Ensure effective documentation and implementation of the quality management system to assure compliance to regulatory and organizational requirements to assure product quality, contract compliance and customer satisfaction.

Job Requirement:

· Bachelor's degree in a engineering, quality, or related technical field or equivalent combination of education and work experience.

• Demonstrated experience establishing and managing quality systems with a thorough knowledge of concepts, tools and methodologies of quality management (Lean, ISO 9001)

· 10+ years’ experience in engineering or quality within manufacturing, preferred

· 5 years of demonstrated management experience with at least 10 direct reports

· 5 year experience with exposure to North American Customers and their quality systems

· Experience with vendor quality management

· Must be able to effectively communicate in English - written form, verbally, in presentations, and by example.

· Analytical skills; statistical analysis expertise; supervisory experience

· Excellent verbal & written communications skills

· Strong proficiency in Word, Power Point, Excel,

• Statistical background in study or working knowledge of quality management tools such as SPC, design of experiment (DOE), and experience preferred


• Experience working with a cross-functional team


• Strong project management and organizational skills


• Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills


• Ability to work with all levels within the organization


• Ability to juggle and manage timelines and deadlines


• Ability to stay cool and calm under pressure in a fast-paced environment


• Ability to stay focused on the “big picture”
