Marketing Manager – Hair Care
Department: Hair Care - MKT
Report to: Hair Care Marketing Director
Location: Shanghai
Main Responsibilities
1. Develop the overall brand strategies which will be effective in delivering the all year round volume, profit and share objectives, as well as building brand equity among target consumers.
2. Identify incremental volume and growth opportunities via related analysis
3. Observe market trend and translate consumer insights into optimized strategy direction
4. Monitor competitive activities, brand health and brand share. Propose action to defend against competitive initiatives.
5. Lead team to work on brand plan development based on deep understanding from category, consumers, competitors and local culture.
6. Work closely with international marketing to ensure strategic global alignment.
7. Engage with other markets to import innovative idea for China market, develop the innovation pipeline and lead the new product launch
8. Lead local team to work on creative development and get global and markets alignment.
9. Work closely with cross functional team including trade marketing, merchandising, Media, PR legal, region to develop comprehensive marketing plan and ensure the high quality delivery of the plan.
10. Work with merchandising manager to deploy the merchandising guideline as well as the new tools
11. Formulate the media strategy and plan for the targeted communication and fulfill the role of build the brand awareness in an efficient and effective way
12. Take through the required regulatory process to make product can be sold in mainland China
13. Provide clear KPIs to team to ensure the result delivery against business KPIs as well as personal KPIs
14. Effective allocation of marketing budget and monitor the expense status
15. Push for game changing ideas for the brand.
16. Lead the Advertising Agency to think strategically and focus on developing high quality advertising which truly leverage on consumer insights and fit to our strategic intention.
Qualification & Experience
1. 8-10 years above MKTG experience in FMCG industry, experience in personal care category is preferred
2. Multi categories experience in NPD and brand communication
3. Strong business acumen and has strategic/ framework thinking
4. Resilience, be able to dealing with ambiguity and strong interpersonal /communication skills
5. Strong leadership with successful record in team building /development
6. Bachelor degree or above,
7. Fluent English
