Position Summary:
The IT engineer is a member of APAC IT Engineering team. The goal of this team is to design, implement, manage, maintain and support IT infrastructure as well as manage related projects for all APAC sites.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1 Designs the networking environment, implements and documents system configuration and enforces system standards in line with IT strategy.
2 Maximizes network performance by monitoring the infrastructure, troubleshooting network problems and outages and planning upgrades.
3 Secures network systems by establishing and enforcing policies aligned with global policies, defines and monitors access to systems.
4 Reports on network operational status by gathering and prioritizing information in cooperation with other IT teams
5 Assist with the design and development of an IT Infrastructure strategy for APAC aligned to the APAC business strategy and our Global IT strategy.
6 Maintain an awareness of new technologies for IT Infrastructure and specifically networking, and identify potential opportunities to exploit within Brady.
7 Provide input on IT budget for IT Infrastructure initiatives, projects and opportunities.
8 Own Vendor relationships for IT Infrastructure ensuring required performance and cost effectiveness are achieved.
9 ?Project Manage budgets, resources and activities compliant with standard methodology to ensure delivery of projects to scope, to time and to budget.
10 Coaching and development of IT Team members (Consultants & Support Team)
11 Create and maintain documentation for Brady standard infrastructure.
12 Record activities and provide reports to IT Manager - North & South Asia.
13 Engineering duties for the implementation, administration, maintenance and support of standard strategic infrastructure throughout all Brady locations. Infrastructure includes LAN /WAN, Voice Communications, Mobile, Servers, PCs, Software, Accessories, Images.
14 To undertake system administration duties for required systems
15 To provide second/third line support ensuring appropriate resolutions are provided to all support issues escalated within agreed Service Levels.
16 To design and update APAC IT infrastructure layouts and to monitor/troubleshoot all supported business systems.
17 To record any activities on incidents that may be escalated by the support team, using the Help Desk System.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
1 Bachelor's degree/College Diploma in Computer/Software/Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science or equivalent experience.
2 CCNA and/or equivalent industry experience.
3 Minimum 5 years of experience as an IT Network engineering role with working technical knowledge of Cisco switches and routers, Cisco Meraki and EIGRP and BGP protocols.
4 Proven ability to work in fast paced, self directed environment
5 Thorough knowledge of English (written and spoken), and be able to work with IT teams of other regions in English.
6 Must be willing to provide off hour and holiday support on a rotational basis.
7 Overseas traveling is required
