Title: GL Accountant (FSSC SH)

Job Purpose:
1. Process General Ledger, VAT, Fixed assets transactions, in line with defined performance standard and individual/group targets.
2. Prepare internal/external report on IFRS and PRC GAAP.
3. Broad scope of responsibility (GL, FA, Taxes...) for one or two SSC's customers
4. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives within the G/L process area, and across the SSC as a whole. Proactively seek opportunities to improve service delivery to SSC customers.
5. To assist manager to develop and maintain a stable and professional organization
Key Responsibilities:
1. Communicate with customer finance and coordinate with other function members to fulfill customer's inquiry and requirements.
2. Validate all interfaces into G/L, guide other SSC members accurate using of COA
3. Prepare and post accruals/defers and all journal entries into G/L.
4. Control and book monthly salary entries
5. Releasing payment request, ensuring consistence with company policies
6. Reconcile bank journal with bank statements
7. Reconcile sub-ledgers with general ledger
8. Perform the Fixed Asset accounting, reporting (Figures) and reconciliation process.
9. Finalize intercompany reconciliation process, and liaise with AP and AR team members .
10. Provide information on Tax and Legal requirements to local entity.
11. Prepare monthly and yearly balance justifications and documentation balance sheet file.
12. Populate the SIF reporting with the financial data
13. Prepare periodical declarations such as Forex, Intrastat, etc...
14. Anticipate month end closing process to ensure smooth and efficient closing process
15. Respect closing calendar
16. Perform financial activities to help other SSC members to meet process performance and objectives.
17. Prepare yearly statutory accounts and supporting documents for local auditors
18. Work with own team and/or with other process teams to identify, and implement improvement opportunities.
19. Deliver high levels of customer service within the General Accounting process area, in accordance with process performance: Proactive in meeting customer needs and requirements.
Qualification Requirements:
1. Competent and experienced in 'in scope' GL activities - qualified or part qualified desirable
2. Good knowledge of GL & accounting principles, activities and processes
3. Local statutory and Group accounting rules
4. Awareness of IFRS and local fiscal rules
5. Awareness of internal control principles and processes
6. 5+ year relevant working experiences
7. Leadership qualities and at least 1 or 2 year supervisory experience
8. Excellent communication skills and good team working skills
9. Expert in ERP G/L module (SAP/QAD/EXACT)
10.Familiarity with OA software, skilled in using word processing and spreadsheet packages
