KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform quality audit/assessment to supplier candidates selected by purchasing to screen out capable suppliers, and (or) develop incapable suppliers candidate onto capable level based on purchasing's business needs.
Develop and implement supplier quality re-audit plan to existed supplier base.
Implement part qualification process (part PPAP process) in supplier side to support needs of new product development projects (including engineering change projects), follow up supplier corrective and preventive actions for NC findings and potential improvement opportunities.
Supplier quality problem solving against quality issues/feedbacks raised by plants (from IQC, production line, FQC and PEER/GBC customers’ complaint related to parts);
Manage part engineering change or part process change request raised by suppliers or PEER;
Drive continuous improvement of existed supplier base’s quality assurance capability to meet today and tomorrow needs from PEER business strategies, include (but not limit) supplier QMS improvement, facilitating lean production and six sigma methodology in supplier sides as well as disqualifying incapable suppliers.
Manage supplier compliance with PEER/GBC business code, ROHS/REACH requirement, EHS requirement, etc.
Take other tasks SQE manager assigned.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
Bachelor’s Degree, preferable in engineering, IE, quality or related majors.
A minimum of 5 years of work experience in quality field
Experience in supplier QMS audit according to ISO 9001 and IATF16949, ability to perform process audit according to VDA6.3. Mechanical manufacturing process experience and heat treatment audit experience is preferred.
Professional level on quality tools: quality audit, 8D, APQP, PPAP, SPC, MSA, FMEA, Control Plan, statistical sampling.
Ability to write, read and speak in English
Ability to write procedures and work documents in both Chinese & English
Good communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work in a team.
Good work ethic and self-motivation
