Primary Job Function
The Quality Engineer (QE) is responsible for the day to day quality support of the Burgess Norton WH plant. The QE will directly communicate with the customers to build relationships ensure BNWH is meeting expectations.

Specific Job Responsibilities:
? Lead quality improvement teams to resolve product issues and implement long term resolutions
? Lead, manage, and develop methods focused on prevention of defects in the manufacturing process.
? Propose new applications of technology
? Response the ECN activities from quality side
? Stay current on new technologies in the industry regarding quality assurance
? Share and implement best practices with BN global quality teams
? Improve overall product quality through data analysis and solution development
? Ownership of customer satisfaction utilizing generally accepted customer problem solving methods such as 8D and 5 Why
? Perform other duties and projects as assigned based on customer requests and visits
Job Qualification Profile
? Bachelor’s degree in an engineering or related discipline.
? Demonstrated success in establishing a Zero Defect culture
? Knowledge of precision measurement system in surface roughness, OD sizing, roundness, concentricity, etc.
? Strong statistical background including the use of SPC within the manufacturing process to measure and sustain capability.
? Proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Excel Pivot Tables, Power Point, Word, etc.
? Experience working with shop floor operators and production management staff, to jointly implement continuous improvement activities
