职位描述：
* Understand fabric standards, WM Apparel Testing and Color Testing requirements. Work proactively with mills, suppliers and third party laboratories where quality and production issues can be anticipated. Recommend alternative fabrics or re-engineering, finishing achieve quality requirements.
* Visit raw materials manufacturers to assess capabilities, capacity and quality.
* Work directly with mills and garment manufacturers to solve production problems related to delivery, performance, fabric characteristics and wet processing.
* Work proactively with cross-functional partners and CTL to understand fabric performance concerns. Develop and implement practical production solutions with mills prior to fabric commitment.
* Work with yarn spinners, knitters/weavers, dye houses, finishers, garment washers, and dyestuff & chemical suppliers to improve fabric quality.
* Develop and execute corrective action plans with major mills to upgrade their performance.
* Identify potential fabric quality and production issues upfront and resolve prior to production. Troubleshooting: solve production problems related to fabric characteristics, performance, lead time or price.
* Advise what is possible in production to achieve fabric standards. Identify creative alternatives and solutions and work with mills to implement.
* Assume additional responsibilities and performs special projects as needed or directed

Requirements
* Experience working in fabric for a major Retailer, or Brand, or an Importer or Buying Agent.
* Technical production in knowledge of yarn spinning, knitting or weaving, dying & finishing, as well as garment washing.
* Strong technical knowledge of yarn, fabric, knitting, weaving, dyeing and finishing, key fabric performance traits, testing protocols and standards.
* Knowledge of yarn and fabric performance traits, testing protocols and standards.
* High level of technical skills in fabric & fabric production which commands respect on the factory floor. Knowledge of mill/dyehouse machinery and its operation.
* Knowledge of quality assurance systems particularly related to fabric.
* Able to anticipate production problems and work proactively to resolve prior to production.
* Ability to creatively explore and identify solutions to solve fabric and color issues so desired characteristics, performance and shipment can be delivered.
* Works well with a broad range of individuals from multicultural backgrounds.
* Organizational skills to maintain multiple tasks simultaneously.
* High level of integrity and business ethics.
* Works independently, but also a good team player. Action oriented, strong sense of urgency.
