RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work closely with cross function team during product design and qualification stages.
• Initiate and execute supplier improvement plans with regards to sample qualification and mass production continual improvement.
• Ensure supplier is capable of meeting the quality requirements associated with quality processes established.
• Implement supplier development activities, driving high level performance with target suppliers.
• Support cost reduction initiatives with commodity managers, providing technical support through supplier benchmarking, waste elimination, VAVE and other activities.
• Develop and train suppliers to establish basic problem solving and root cause analysis skills in order to eliminate recurrence of non-conformance.
• Serves as an expert technical resource to suppliers and internal teams as required.

REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications:

• 10 years above experience, University Degree, preferably in Mechanical Engineering or related field

Experience:

• Minimum of 10 years or above manufacturing, quality or tooling experience in manufacturing environment, familiar with progressive die, MIM and heat treatment process.
• Experience with Process Failure Mode Effects Analysis
• Basic PC skills, email, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
• Able to teach, coach, and lead workshops effectively
• Flexible, able to rapidly respond to new situations and multi-task
• Creative thinker, able to quickly assess problems and drive effective responses
• Excellent communication skills, in Mandarin and English, to formulate lasting relationships with suppliers and will easily form new relationships with clients.

Preferred:

• Manufacturing plant experience, or extensive tooling and supplier development experience
• Experience with error proofing, Statistical Process Control
• Knowledge of a wide range of manufacturing processes and commodities
