A top 100 ASX listed company; with 67 stores Australia wide is looking for Accounting Officer to join the Shanghai Global Sourcing Office Team. Myer strategic growth plans for the next five years have a significant store expansion program and growth in our exclusive brand offer. To support this strategic direction Global Sourcing Offices are being established in Hong Kong and Shanghai. This is an exciting opportunity and we are looking for passionate people to join our Business.

Key job tasks/duties/responsibilities:

• Prepare for weekly payments, including invoice checking and payment summary preparation;
• Prepare weekly Financial reports including petty cash and bank journals
• Assist in tax filing and annual audit
• Assist in government related submissions, communication with local government, including local Tax Bureau
• Prepare management accounting reports as per management requests
• General administrative assistance to Financial Controller and Financial Accountant
• Perform ad hoc tasks as assigned

To be successful in this role you will need:

• 3 years accounting experience in Trading / Garment / Buying Office
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and Mandarin
• Proficiency in MS Word and Excel; experience in SAP is advantageous but not essential

• A confident and proactive work ethic
• Strong organisation skills
• Able to prioritise workloads
• Diploma / Degree in the related discipline
