Description
The Lead/Senior SAP EH&S (Environment, Health & Safety) Consultant plays a key role in projects' study, design, development and implementation phase for the EH&S functional space. He/she is accountable for ensuring that the overall functional, technical design and realization meets business requirements conforms to Dow I/T work processes, optimizes productivity and minimizes long-term cost of ownership. As a consultant he/she is not only a technical expert of SAP EH&S Module but he/she can also translate business needs, functional work processes into requirements and solutions. He/she is able to interact with a global team of functional leaders, business partners, technical experts, and articulate how to best integrate SAP technologies to deliver superior business impact. He/she is hands-on and can jump-in projects to ensure smooth delivery and implementation.
The primary focus for this role will for ERP, mySAP EH&S Module.
The Lead/Senior SAP EH&S Consultant will participate to a global multi-year roll-out of the latest SAP technologies and solutions across all Dow businesses in Asia-Pacific. He will join high performance teams focusing and play a role on all functional areas and delivering innovative solutions across the globe. He/she will play a lead role in our functional work-stream teams and will contribute to establish Shanghai as a global SAP center of competence for the Dow Chemical Company.
Primary Responsibilities
? Accountable for ensuring that functional and technical designs meet business requirements, conform to Dow I/T architecture standards, and optimize productivity and long-term cost of ownership
? Ensure work process and functional integration across teams and assist with issue resolution
? Understand and assist with implementation of long-term product/system vision for I/T
? Assist with System and Data Architecture development and support efforts
? Provide technical support in project whole life cycle.
? Work on functional/technical design with Business partners and Architecture Specialist and ensure development meets functional and technical design needs.
? Ensure that the support team delivers the necessary functional and technical support as defined on the SLA.
? Ensure work package integration across teams and assist with issue resolution
Critical Success Factors
? Demonstrate the knowledge in SAP EH&S areas such as product safety, hazardous substances, dangerous goods, and waste management, product and material compliance regulations product compliance, REACH Compliance.
? Demonstrable knowledge of functional work processes and regulations in EH&S area
? Experience in SAP solution design and deployment methodologies
? Demonstrated experience working on simultaneous projects across multiple technologies, multiple locations and with a variety of stakeholder groups.
? Ability to multi-task and work with a variety of stakeholder groups and counterparts which may be based in multiple onshore and offshore locations.
? Worked with diverse team members in different geographical locations. Implies good English communications skills, both oral and written.
? Ability to communicate and interact effectively both within the team and with external stakeholders e.g. business partners, and technical counterparts in other teams
? Able to work independently with minimal supervision
? Able to collaborate and coordinate effectively with other teams and project participants to accomplish tasks and deliver results.
? Ability to successfully work with onsite and offshore teams, whenever needed, without compromising existing service levels and customer satisfaction rate.
? Communicate status, metrics, risks and issues on a timely basis.
? Proactively works with the project team to manage project scope and requirements.
Qualifications
Must Haves:
- University degree with a major in Computer Science, Manage Information System, Business Administration, Engineering or related fields.
- At least 5 years application development experience in SAP EH&S module.
- Functional expertise of Environment, Health and Safety work processes (product safety, hazardous substances, dangerous goods, and waste management, product and material compliance regulations product compliance, REACH Compliance)
- Excellent English communication skills (written and oral)
- Strong initiative and a proactive mindset
- Highly adaptable and a fast learner
- Able to work effectively in a globally-oriented, high performance team-based work environment
- Good Team worker and good communication skills.
Nice to Haves:
? Worked in major industry and played a consultant role participating in BPR, chemical industry experience is preferred.
? At least several full cycle SAP implementation project experience.
? Participated in an application development process
? Involved in a system implementation project from start-up to implementation
? Participated in cross-functional teams
? Held jobs supporting and working with a number of work process, business, and technology areas
